PIJAR: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pengajaran implements robust digital archiving and permanent filing protocols to guarantee the long-term preservation, integrity, and perpetual accessibility of all published scholarly work. The journal ensures that digital files remain secure, discoverable, and accessible even in the event of hardware failure, server migration, or operational disruption.
Key Archival and Identification Mechanisms
- Digital Preservation Networks (LOCKSS & CLOCKSS):
- This journal utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to establish a distributed, decentralized archiving network among participating institutional libraries. This enables libraries to maintain permanent electronic archives of the journal for long-term preservation and immediate restoration.
- In addition, the journal integrates with the CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) archive to provide a secure, dark-archive backup ensuring permanent open access to scholarly records.
- Persistent Identifiers (Crossref DOI):
- Every peer-reviewed article published in PIJAR: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pengajaran is assigned a unique and persistent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) deposited with Crossref under the publisher's registered prefix 58540
- The active DOI ensures persistent linking to the final published version of record (VoR), eliminating broken links and safeguarding citable online records across global bibliographic indices.
- National and International Repositories:
- Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital): Complete article metadata and full-text PDF files are systematically deposited in the national digital repository managed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.
- Academic Indexing Databases: Published works and their bibliographic files are indexed and mirrored across academic indexing systems, including Google Scholar, Dimensions, and institutional repositories, providing multi-layered electronic backup.
- Self-Archiving Policy (Author Rights):
- Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit the published version (Publisher's PDF) of their articles in institutional, departmental, or non-commercial subject repositories (such as ResearchGate, Academia.edu, Zenodo, or university digital libraries) immediately upon publication.
- Deposit is permitted provided that a full bibliographic attribution and a direct link to the DOI of the official published version are included.
