Post-Publication Discussion URL

PIJAR: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pengajaran encourages continuous scientific discourse, scholarly debate, and constructive feedback on published research. To uphold research integrity and facilitate healthy academic discussion after an article has been published, the journal provides several official mechanisms:

1. Letters to the Editor / Scholarly Commentary

  • Readers, researchers, and practitioners are invited to submit critical reflections, alternative interpretations, or methodological observations concerning any article published in PIJAR.
  • Submission Protocol:
    • Inquiries and formal letters must be submitted electronically to the editorial office via email:  jurnalpijar22@gmail.com with the subject format: Post-Publication Discussion: [Article Title] / [DOI].
    • The commentary must remain professional, evidence-based, and focused on scientific merit, methodology, or interpretation.
  • Author Response: Upon editorial evaluation, the original author(s) will be given an opportunity to provide a formal rebuttal or clarification. When deemed appropriate, both the commentary and the author's response may be published alongside the original article.

2. Corrections (Erratum and Corrigendum)

  • Corrigendum: Published when an error was introduced by the author(s) that affects scientific accuracy or clarity (e.g., mislabeled table, omission of grant funding, slight calculation error) but does not compromise the overall findings or conclusions.
  • Erratum: Published when an inadvertent error was introduced by the publisher/editorial production team (e.g., typesetting errors, formatting corruption, truncated text).
  • Both notices are published in the next regular issue, assigned a distinct DOI, and bidirectionally hyperlinked to the original Version of Record (VoR).

3. Formal Retractions and Expressions of Concern

  • In cases where post-publication discussion or investigation reveals significant flaws, ethical breaches, data falsification, or unresolvable plagiarism, the journal adheres strictly to the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Retraction Guidelines.
  • A formal Retraction Notice or Expression of Concern will be issued and permanently linked to the online record to inform the scholarly community.

4. Post-Publication Platforms & Community Discussion

  • Beyond the journal website, PIJAR encourages open and transparent community-level discussions on verified post-publication platforms, such as PubPeer and institutional repositories. The editorial team monitors relevant academic notices to ensure prompt resolution of legitimate methodological or ethical concerns.
